Implementing ElectriCS 3D and ElectriCS ADT
ElectriCS ADT software is intended for automated design of power supply systems for industrial plants and other facilities.
Use of ElectriCS ADT together with other software (AutomatiCS ADT, ElectriCS 3D, ElectriCS Storm, ElectriCS Light and EnergyCS Electrics) provides comprehensive automation of the activities of electric and instrumentation (process control) departments.
Main functions:
• Calculating loads by design power factors (in accordance with "Electric loads calculation guidelines РТМ 36.18.32.4-92");
• Combine structure of the system under design with equipment selection (cables, protection devices, etc.) in accordance with load calculation data and database references;
• Assigning reference numbers to elements (cables, units, breakers, etc.);
• Voltage loss calculation under normal and startup conditions;
• Short circuit current calculation (in accordance with GOST 28249-93);
• Cable heating temperature calculation and cable thermal stability testing (in accordance with GOST 30323-95 and circular of Russia's RAO EES No. Ц-02-98(Э) "Testing cables for non-flammability under short circuit current");
• Checking design and peak currents of protection devices;
• Testing protection devices for sensitivity to minimum short circuit currents;
• Testing protection devices for selectivity, generating selectivity charts;
• Generating list of (power and control) cables and loads for subsequent processing in ElectriCS 3D;
• Tables and graphics output.
ElectriCS 3D is intended to automate various cables layout during design, restructuring and operation of buildings, structures and outdoor areas.
ElectriCS 3D generates documents as follows:
• Electric equipment list;
• Electric equipment and external wiring layout;
• Consolidated and order cable specifications;
• Cable logs;
• Pipe and/or spiral wrap hose specifications;
• Coordinate lots;
• Cable trunks log.
Electric Department current activities are as follows:
• Enhancing electric equipment and cable database;
• Planning generation of electric equipment, power supply, switchgears and tie breakers diagrams;
• Developed are templates for output of the following text documents:
- Load calculation;
- Cable log;
- Components list;
- Order specification;
- Short circuit and dU currents calculation;
- Cable specification.
