Shaanxi Tianhong Silicon successfully started up the production of polysilicon in Sian, China

Output of new production facility makes 1250 MT. According to Shaanxi management successful startup confirms the competence of the company in the field of polysilicon production and its potential in this business sector. The next step is to enter semiconductors and solar energy market.

During the last decades in China several large plants started silicon materials production for semiconductor and solar industry. Process design of one of the largest polysilicon plant located in Laeshan and annually outputting 3000 MT was developed by Volgograd design institute Giprosintez.

Giprosintez today is the only Russian design institute developing the entire set of documentation for polycrystalline silicon production facilities in 3D. Today Giprosintez' design is used to build a new polysilicon production plant in Usol'ye-Sibirskoye, Irkutsk region.
