ROSNANO team to visit NITOL site
On November 26, Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies (ROSNANO) team headed by Anatoly Chubays visited NITOL industrial site in Usol'ye-Sibirskoye, Irkutsk region. NITOL is carrying out a project designed by Giprosintez, Volgograd to create a facility producing polycrystalline silicon – the main raw material of solar energy and microelectronic markets.
The total amount of funds to be invested by ROSNANO will make 7.5 bln RUR, where 4.5 bln RUR is provided as a fixed loan and 3 bln RUR – as a guarantee. The loan proceeds invested by ROSNANO so far makes 4.5 bln RUR.
Total output of the facility will make 3800 tpa polysilicon. Ramp-up is scheduled for 2010.
The new production complex creates a raw materials base for further development of Russian microelectronics and represents a significant milestone in formation of Russian solar industry.
