OAO SIBUR Holding is planning to implement a project for arranging additional production of SBS thermoplastic elastomer at the production facility of Voronehzsintezkauchuk in 2011.
"Currently the design and cost estimate documentation is being developed by the design agency Giprosintez, which will be completed in 2010," – said the deputy director of OOO SIBUR directorate Mikhail Gordin on Thursday in Voronezh at the seminar on increasing of application of polymers at the motor roads construction.
"It is still a new and undeveloped product for Russia. Currently the demand for thermoplastic elastomer for construction and repair of the motor roads in our country is not high, about 3 thousand tons per year, whereas China uses 120 thousand tons annually,” said he.
